not sure if you need any documentation, but you will need to pay tax on anything over 400 cigarettes within the EU, and thye may be seized

i'd get in touch with customs & excise and ask

You don't need any documentation, you can bring back 3200 cigarettes without problems and no need to pay the duty on them either.

Anything above 3200 cigarettes then you could have them all taken off you or you will end up paying the duty on the excess, that is if they decide to search you.
