If I were running away I would have already made up my mind
where I was going. Only you know yourself enough to know what you need in a new place. My needs certainly wouldn't be the same as yours. I like peace & quiet. I wish you the best of
luck.

well it depends on what you're looking for, why you're leaving. If i wanted to run away to any city it would either be Boston or Seattle. They both have so many things that can keep you entertained. Like Boston has the harbor where there is SO much going on and so many things to do that are free its not even funny. You can walk around and visit all the historical sites that are marked my placks in the ground, or you can just sit and watch people. I find it such a beautiful place i know that's not a good enough explanation but i fell in LOVE with Boston.

However there's also Seattle, which is filled with the most laid back people you will ever meet. they have GORGEOUS scenery and the city itself is pretty safe. The only draw back is all the homeless that walk around begging, it breaks your heart. Anyways i hope this helps, sorry if it doesn't. OH and can i just say that the weather in seattle is perfect, atleast in the city. It never gets TOO cold, it barely snows (in the city) and they say it rains everyday but really if it rains its usually only for about 5 minutes.

um you can try to leave but it won't last. Your parents can easily report you missing or as a runaway and once you are found you'll not only be brought back but you'll also be in a good deal of trouble as well. Just stay home and try to hang in there until you are a legal adult. If you are actually in danger at home then talk to a school counselor or the police. But don't risk messing up your future by doing stupid things like running away, it may not seem like a stupid idea to you right now because of your situation, but believe me it is and not worth the trouble that will come with it. permits and ID's expire, you will have to go get a new one eventually. Also just by having a job and being enrolled in a school, will allow the police to track you down eventually.

Go online check out every major city for jobs, housing, most of all the crime rate is much larger in big cities, you must have enough cash flow coming in make sure you have friends that can be trusted cause you can't trust strangers anymore. You also need to ckeck out the school systems if you have kids, be very carefull who you contact. Nothing is ever free, plus larger cities rents, are much higher, like utilities, gas, food, buses, jobs don't always pay well unless your in a good profession. When checking out potential empolyers, you need to also check out the high turn over rate in the company, check out benefits, can you move up in the company. When you talk to people about running away make sure your not trying to leave cause of personal problems, if you must do this so it right for your future, don't burn the people who love you the most. I've traveled, lived in many cities in the midwest. When I was young military wife I had no friends/family to help me in these cities like san diego, seatlle, ect. I was completly on myown with 2 babies, a nd a hushband that was out to sea all the time. Goodluck

Try Winston Salem?
This is an up and coming city. It is small, not to big and I heard people are very friendly. This isn't too far for you to travel either in case something doesn't work out. New York is cold in the winter and it is a big place! It takes a while to get into anything.

If you want to live in a big city i guess new york would be good for u. iv been there twice and it was really cool. stay away from chinatown btw lol. but i live in vermont and i really love it here. If you really want to live in a city, burlington would be the best place. its pretty big, but no dumb skyscrapers and stuff. if you dont want to live here, i highly recommend visiting it at least once in the fall between Oct 1 and Oct 20. we may be called the green mountain state, but when our green mountains turn yellow, orange and red its amazing.

Why not come to England?? There are some nice cities here. Apparently we like americans, and there's a fantastic easy to use welfare system that you can probably access almost immediately.
