I am referring to an American buying the oxygen overseas (e.g. Hong Kong) while travelling there. As you probably know, a tank of oxygen cannot be brought on board an airliner.

My ears are in violent pain when I go on plane rides, in 6 days I am going on another plane ride, and this time I am taking two planes! My ears hurt so much that I literally feel like screaming. I've tried the little ear plugs, they didn't do anything. Any kind of medication, nope. Gum, yawning and basically all the usual stuff don't work. I am desperate for something that ACTUALLY works. And just to let you know, I've seen doctors already and they said the tubes in my ears are probably really small, but that doesn't help me at all, unless there's a way to make them bigger?? I think not.

My husband is from Costa Rica, and he's been wanting to go back to visit some of his family. But he wants to take me with him, the only problem, I am afraid to death of flying. The other ways of transportation, are out of the question. Driving would take approx. 2weeks and by plane 1hr. and 45mins. My fear has grown even worse since 9/11. What would you do??

Okay, I have never been on a plane before. Not because I am opposed to it, just never had the opportunity.

Next week I may have to get on one for a business trip.

If I say out loud "Knowing my luck, the plane will crash." - that would be jinxing myself, right?

Does that apply if I only think it? What about write it? Or is it the saying out loud part that does the actual jinxing?

I'm not superstitious, so I am curious as to the mechanics of the whole thing.

I was drinking almost everyday vodka or wine. One night I met a friend for drinks, i had nothing to eat all day.. i had alot of vodka, i have no memory of leaving and worst thing is i think i took the nyc subway home and have no memory of being on it... all i know is i woke up in my bed very sick and my roomate told me i looked wasted when i came in.. My cell phone and Ipod both were gone, have no idea if they were stolen. had to check to see if maybe i was sexually assaulted- i wasnt. I still have no memory of the night. The friend i was with says i was fine when i left.
This scared the crap out of me and i quit drinking- cold turkey.. Its been 6 months.. I have no desire to drink at all, the thought of it makes me sick...
But should i go to counseling orAA?
