I wouldn't fear it any more than you did prior to 911. All security eyes are on the airlines, and many schools of thought forecast the next major terrorist plot to focus on something other than airlines. Meanwhile, security continues to increase on mass transit, including armed air marshalls on many flights. You can still bring phones, cameras, laptops, etc...but must have them all inspected/x-rayed first.
There is one other good thing about flying now. People all over the world are all aware of potential threats aboard planes, and are much more alert to signs of possible danger.

No, you shouldn't fear flying after 911. Living a life of fear based on this act of terrorism will only limit you in the methods you can travel. God did not design you to live a life of fear. The terrorist wins if he makes you alter your lifestyle. You have more of a chance of dying in a car wreck than being killed in an airplane highjacking by terrorists. While there is no foolproof plan that can prevent someone from trying to harm others, there have been a lot things done to prevent this from occurring again. My advice is to leave the worrying about the terrorists to those who specialize in preventing such an occurrence and start flying again!

Like many of these types of things, people get it wrong. It is BEFORE 911 that you should have feared flying. Right after it, I never felt safer in my life. Completely irritated and annoyed from all the safety measures, but safe. You should too.
And "they" aren't dumb. There are a lot of other targets besides jets. I doubt their next move, if they can pull it off, would be jets.

concern of Flying stems in certainty from not understanding what to assume and why or how an plane flys. you will get some alleviation in case you bypass on your community airport and p.c.. up some literature on flying or perhaps even take a learn direction in aviation to income approximately how an plane flys and what's in contact in the manufacture of airplanes. in case you learn the basics of aviation, you would be greater mushy in an plane on the grounds which you wont be putting your self able of being in the unknown which has a tendency to make many folk fairly frightened. on the grounds which you have already been in airplanes and your concerns began after September eleventh, 2001, you will have a terror that your protection is in question. that's an undemanding feeling these days and a not undemanding one to dispel. you will be waiting to bypass to an airport and confer with a number of the flight crews that is waiting around for their flights and confer with them. in case you know somebody who's a advertisement pilot then confer with that individual. protection in Aviation has gotten a lot tighter then previously and maximum flight group individuals will inform you that on an identical time because it rather is not appropriate, it particularly is lots greater effectual than previously and that the protection and protection of the flight is paramount. regrettably, you dont have very a lot time between now and your flight to San Diego. inspite of the undeniable fact that it particularly is a few thing you may think of roughly for here flights...good success..

No. It's kind of like asking, "Should I fear crossing the street" [because of the chance of a car hitting you]. It's all just chance. Bad luck. Just live your life as you normally would.

No. The safety level has been WAY upped since then. You can't even bring cell phones, laptops, or even water on planes anymore for fear of bombs.
