Look out the window when in a boat or car. If possible, try to fly instead of using the ferry--usually a shorter trip. If using a ferry, look out the window. Eat a light meal before going but do not overeat. The dramamine can help but it can make you very drowsy and if you are on rough seas, you will still have motion sickness. Read the package insert for all the health warnings before taking the medicine.
