I am planning a move to Northern Mexico, close to the border with the U.S. As an American, I would like to hear from those who have experienced living on the border, what safe yet close-to-the-border places/cities there are for Americans who don't mind mingling with the local population...and a place with a good broadband connection (Internet).

Today I was in Tijuana....and I walked by a guy with a fruit cart which had large cups full of fruit....some of the cups were filled with fruit that lookd like Kiwi's with their skin cut off....but no it was Cactus....I bought it and REALLY enjoyed it. It was filled with seeds thoughout the fruit but were kinda like popcorn seeds so I chewed on them....anyways...what is this green catus fruit called?????and where can I get it in America??

I will need this transportation on Saturday Oct 21, 2006 for 4 people with quite a bit of luggage after spending a night in Ensenada afet debarking a cruise ship on Friday Oct 20. Bus or motorcoach is fine but we don't want to walk across the border on foot with our luggage. Thanks!

im riding in a friends car. im a US Resident Alien with a green card. i am a citizen of the philippines. if i do need it, where can i get it from. i live in chandler, arizona. im staying there for less than 24 hours and will not go any further distance from the US border.

...Is it safe at Rosarito Beach.... Is it safe to go and eat dinner there (we don't like lobster...I'm thinking more like tacos).... Do you know anything about horseback riding there? (I think we'd want to do that.) We'd only be going down for 1 day-- leaving early and returning, hopefully, before dark. What else is there? Thanks in advance for your answers... I am going to Tijuana, Mexico Tomorrow.
I know a driver's licence is enough, but I heard a friend said the law changed and a passport is now required....
so do i really need to bring a passport?
