How old do you have to be to drive in Mexico?

Me and a couple buddies plan NOT to fly, but park our car at san diego, and take the bus across the border into TJ. To come back to the US, do i need a passport?? no right??
all i have is my dirvers licence and Social Security Card.

Spring break is comin up and me and a couple of buddies want to go down south of the border. We went last year without passports, and we were fine. But i heard some new law BS where we are REQUIRED one. is this really true??
i mean, are they really gana not let me cross even if i have my driverse licence and SS card? Plus, im Korean, if that helps.
so am i good to go??

I've been looking into hotels in Cancun and have heard feedback regarding the Grand Oasis, Oasis Resorts, and Oasis Grand, but I'm not sure which resort is being discussed. Has anyone stayed at the Grand Oasis Playa and can give me some feedback? Is this a good place for 26-28 year olds?

I have been trying for a while now to find another messanger in Puerto Penasco Mexico that can possibly help me with some answers that only they can. There use to be a way to do it on the old messanger and maybe I just became computer stupid all of a sudden or just to impatient. I am an American living in central Mexico. My father died today, but I lost my passport. I will call the embassy in DF tomorrow, but I want to know if any of you have ideas on how I might be able to get home. Will they issue me an emergency passport or will I need to take a bus north and walk across the border and get another bus to Michigan, or can I get a domestic flight with just a birth certificate once in Texas. I have the following documents 1) birth certificate 2)copy of drivers license....original lost as well 3) Mexican FM3 work visa 4)photocopy of passport.

I will return to a week or so. What are my options for returning to Mexico? Walk across the border again?

Why dosen't the Mexican government make life better for the people of Mexico so they don't feel compelled to leave?

I know their tax structue is corrupt. The money comes into the federal coffers and never gets redistributed. This accounts for the creation of poorer citizens.

Shouldn't some pressure be brought to bear on the Mexican government to start cleaning up their internal messes?

How does the rest of the world view this situation?
