Ignorance still happens! And many people promotes racism on here. Generally speaking i would never know some people can be very racist before i started to use yahoo answers. me i am not a racist person at all. but it amazes me so many people are. i was looking immigration sites on here and one question about Turkey one english guy answered dont take Turkey EU or they all 'll be flowing to UK. what's that all about! i never thougt of that! and i won't even comment what some armenian friends wrote. before here i never known any bad armenian . that's what i mean when i say here is promoting racism. do you agree?and answer me when is it gonna end the hate?

its about the final match of uefa champions league
the two neighbours are givng the auidence same match
in 2005 the final match was in istanbul with milan and liverpool
and now the final match in 2007 athena also milan and liverpool

We all know that there is always a "double-standart" justice in foreign medias concerning Turkey...
Unfortunately some lobbies try to put dirt on our image, and in general that means that there are some armenian journalists or employees in the medias...

Do you think that this problem also exists on Yahoo Answers ?...

Why do I ask this question ? Just because our questions and our answers are quickly removed, but their provocative and agressive questions and answers still remain...

I lost my temper with Krikor's question about AIDS and used some bad words. Yahoo deleted my answer and deleted 12 points from me. But his provoking and insulting questions are still here. Is there justice in Yahoo?

Holidaying in Cyprus in June. Am I right in thinking currency is Cypriot Pound? Is it better to take currency or Sterling travellers cheque and then get these changed over there? This is first visit to Cyprus. Staying all inclusive so should not need to take too much money hopefully.

Lately, we ''collect insults from many people about our countries.You about Turkey, we about Greece...And as soon as we react they eliminate our questions, because some people dont want us to defend our countries..
I am not talking about you, others provock us...They also provock you, or they do provocative questions to put us in conflict.And this is a site of friendship...
We have to react?Or will we be considered as uncivilised?

Is this a dead-end for democracy? Because democracy and Ataturk's heritage is the secular state, which is what makes Turkey different than oppressive Islamic regimes, but the intervention of the army in politics is totally unaccepted in democracy (reminds of the dictatorships we had in Greece in the 60's and so on). So how do you feel about it? Is democracy on a tight rope?

I am a Turkish citizen and Armenian minority on same time, and I never had problem here in Istanbul... Turks love me and I love Turks, so I don't understand why Armenians from abroad attack turkish governement...

My husband (he´s Turkish) and I are planning to move to Istanbul next year. I am Canadian, a practicing Muslim, and we currently live in Germany. I know the culture, but as far as living there with a family, I am uncertain. Any insights?

1. How is daily life (with school-age kids) different than in Europe / N. America?

2. I know the windy Ist.-weather. How does it affect the general health there (ex. do people get more migraines or asthma problems there, etc.) . Is there anyplace to get such info? Website/anything? English or Turkish is OK.

3. We would like to live on the Asian side. My husband would like to be able to hear the Azan wherever we live, meaning there are mosques around. Know any nice neighbourhoods? He likes Uskudar, I like seeing more green. Is there a compromise, not too far out?

4. We would like to send our kids to a private school, maybe an Islamic one. Any suggestions?

Has anyone done this? How did the kids adjust?
