She gloats to us about how great she is with geography and critizes us for not knowing how to properly draw Italy. Uh, yeah, I didn't take an ITALIAN class, I took a LATIN class...big difference. She then was talking about the historical place of Troy and how it's located in Turkey. She asks us what the capital of Turkey is, and by the time I raise my hand, she decides to answer her own question. She tells everyone, "Istanbul." Ahhh! Why is a teacher feeding false information to the students??? The capital is Ankara, and I bet she's been telling students for many years the wrong capital. Sorry, but I really am upset about this. If you're going to be a teacher, you should atleast watch what you say and not give out false and yet simple information. It just bothers me. Please tell me that you would have felt the same way.

Ok here's an oldie.

You are roaming in Africa with you jeep and took a break somewhere where you met two guys from two different clans.

One of them is a Pigmy,a very short guy as you may know and a Zulu with over 2mtrs of height. Pigmy luckily can understand and speak your language although the Zulu can only understand you but cannot speak your language.
You know a strange habit of these clans that one of them always tells the truth while the other lies for everything.
To find out, you ask the Zulu,

-Are you the one speaks the truth?

He says something in his language. You ask Pigmy,what did he say? Pigmy says;

-He said yes,but don't believe him. His lies are bigger than he is.

Who is lying?

Or do you think that we can get along with anyone (even if we don't know his/her language) if we really want to communicate?

I know that certain European and American politicians are a big fan of our current "mild Islamic" government.

What they don't understand is, this government is likable for them only because they are operating under a secular system, which is protected by the public and this nation's army... MY army.

After the collapse of "mild Islam", first in Pakistan, then in Malaysia (they abondened lacism and accepted the Sharia law just recently), why do they keep praising how Islamic and how democratic AKP is?

When will they understand? Islam is a peaceful religion only when Muslims are ruled by a modern constitution, not a Sharia law?

When there are empty mosques in the area?

Check out Yalçın Doğan's column:

(Sorry, it is in Turkish, but tells the new culture of "showing off with praying".)

http://www.hurriyet.com.tr/yazarlar/7198130.asp?yazarid=91&gid=61&a=685645

Can you tell me when this silent pressure of showing off with prayer will turn into a loud and open one? Can I accuse certain powers that promote "mild Islam" with turning our country into a fascist one?

Soon after the forest fires in your country were controlled, Turkiye sent fire fighting aircrafts and humanitarian aid to Greece. Disasters always prove how close our two nations are and how much we care for each other...

Now that we have someone who married his 15-year-old cousin when he was in his 30's in Cankaya, what do you think will happen to Turkey? If the military will step in, when do you think they will do so? Discuss!

Don't you feel this is a lynching campaign against Turks? And the distinguishing character of any lynching is the crowd's inability to listen to facts and their acting with vulgar sentiment?

How can the "civilized" West accept a lynching campaign? After 600 years, do they still a scape goat to unite them? Do they need a scape goat to help them forget their own crimes against humanity?

What IS the psychological and sociological reason behind this comedy?
