Ok here's an oldie.

You are roaming in Africa with you jeep and took a break somewhere where you met two guys from two different clans.

One of them is a Pigmy,a very short guy as you may know and a Zulu with over 2mtrs of height. Pigmy luckily can understand and speak your language although the Zulu can only understand you but cannot speak your language.
You know a strange habit of these clans that one of them always tells the truth while the other lies for everything.
To find out, you ask the Zulu,

-Are you the one speaks the truth?

He says something in his language. You ask Pigmy,what did he say? Pigmy says;

-He said yes,but don't believe him. His lies are bigger than he is.

Who is lying?

zulu

because first pigmy says that zulu said yes, then he says not to believe him because he lies. the thing is if pigmy lies then both of the sentences must be negative. if he was the liar he would have told that zulu said said no. one positive sentence and one negative sentence about the same topic means one of the sentences is correct. on the other hand we know zulu only says yes. there is only one possibility; he is lying.

The Zulu. Why would a Pigmy insult his own clan by saying how short he is? That would be disrespectful towards his tribe. It's obvious that the Zulu is the liar, and says this so he cannot be caught.
Plus, don't those two tribes hate each other in Africa? If that's the case, Zulu could have felt shameless for saying that.

One can only answer truthfully, one can only tell lies.

The Pigmy said that the Zulu said he only speaks truth. If the Zulu is lying, then that means that the Pigmy is the truth teller.

If the Zulu is telling the truth, then the Pigmy is lying yet if the Pigmy was lying, he would have had to say that he said No.

The Pigmy is telling the truth.

I would go for the Pigmy because the Zulus live in South Africa and the pıgmies around Central Africa . So probably the Zulu guy said something in English,Afrikaan, İsizulu or Xhosa or in Portuguese so the pigmy didnot understand him and lied about what the Zulu guy said.

these are the 4 cases we could have :

1- zulu says yes - then Pigmy should answer to us no (not valıd)

2-zulu yes - pigmy says yes PARADOX cause ın thıs case they both say the truth

3- zulu no - then pigmy should answer to us yes (Valid)

4--zulu no - pigmy should answer to us no (not valid)

so the valid is case 3 - zulu answers no and Pigmy says yes to us, that makes Pigmy the liar!

This is kind of like the riddle in the movie "The Labyrinth" with the two door knockers.

Sarah was allowed only one question of her two doorkeepers, one of whom always lied and one of whom always told the truth. The question she finally asked was: "Would he (she pointed at the other doorkeeper) tell me this door leads to the castle?"

If the door she was indicating was the wrong one and she was asking the lying doorkeeper, his answer would be yes - because he would lie. If she was asking the truthful doorkeeper, he too would answer yes - since the other doorkeeper would lie. In either case, the other door would be the correct one.

If the door she was indicating was the right one and she was asking the lying doorkeeper, his answer would be no - because he would lie. If she was asking the truthful doorkeeper, he too would answer no, since the other doorkeeper would lie. In either case, this would be the correct door

The Pigmy has to be telling the truth, the Zulu is lying.

Very easy. The Zulu is the liar.
It is impossible for the Pygmy to be the liar because then the answer would be that they are BOTH liar and only one is a liar. In other words if the Pygmy is a liar then the truth would be That the Zulu said the opposite of what the Pygmy said, "No, I am the liar." but they both can't be liars.

Zulu is lying, cuz if Zulu really said no,Pigmy would of just answered me in what zulu really said rather than explaining me his lies are bigger than he is!
