I am going on Royal Caribbean and I would like to know if the soda is free? Is all the food on the cruise actually free? Are the activities on the boat all free? I will be going to Labadee, Grand Cayman, Cozumel Mexico, and Ochos Rios Jaimaica... has anyone been to those places? and what are some good things to do in these islands? for i.e. shopping, sightseeing? Any answers could be very helpful thanks.

I have a friend who wants to go to Alaska, but her husband doesn't, so she'd like to travel alone. I'd go, but cannot afford it at this time.

I am going on my first cruise in April and am overwhelmed. It seems like EVERYONE talks about how we need to tip everybody on board the ship...how does this work and how much is expected? Help!

I can afford time and expenses on both.
Both are roughly the same price, leave from Florirda, go to the same ports and are operated by Royal Caribbean Cruise line.
Difference lies in the type of ships and that the 8-night cruise visits 1 extra port (Antigua).

I'm looking into taking a cruise and the one I always hear about is Carnival. I was looking on their website to see what the ship ("holiday") looked like. (dining, pools, rooms, etc.) I noticed the room they give you an example of only has twin beds or bunk beds and in the description area it mentioned something about pushing the twin beds together to make a king.. are all of their rooms like this?? Do they really not have just a normal full/queen size bed in their rooms?? Also they looked very small. The example of the suite they had looked like an average size room, the others looked very small and enclosed. I've never been on a cruise ship before so any details would help! Also, its the Western Carribbean. Anyone ever been on it?? Any advise?
