I can afford time and expenses on both.
Both are roughly the same price, leave from Florirda, go to the same ports and are operated by Royal Caribbean Cruise line.
Difference lies in the type of ships and that the 8-night cruise visits 1 extra port (Antigua).

I would choose the Jewel of the Seas any day. First, I like the ship better, second, you are getting an extra day and one more fantastic port.

If you have the time and the money to do either, I think that you would have more fun on the Jewel, most people like cruising so much that they don't want to get off, so that extra day would be really nice.

Both choices are really great, but I think I would choose the extra night. Since you get the same ports, the ships are pretty similar, but Jewel is a little newer, I would still choose the extra day even if it were on Navigator.

I've included some links to reviews that may help you decide.

Have a great time!

I would go on the Jewel. It is one of my favorite Royal Caribbean ships, along with its sisiter the Brillance. I love the layout of the ship. Take the 8-day cruise and go to Antigua. That is a great port stop, one of the better islands in the Caribbean. Take a tour of the island too, its worth it.

The Jewel is a newer ship with different amenities from the Navigator. All things being equal, go for the 8 nite cruise on Jewel.

If it was me and everything was close to the same cost I would opt for the 8 day cruise. The more time on a ship the better for me. It always takes me a few days just to find my way around the ship. The extra day would make it that much more time to enjoy the cruise. Whatever you decide...enjoy! I wish I was going too.
