You didn't mention what sort of job you are looking for, or for that matter, what type of cruise ship.

Assuming that you are looking for a service-oriented job (waiter, porter, etc) on one of the larger ships (Carnival, Royal Caribbean, etc), you may want to go to the website for the company and check for a link to "Careers".

If you are looking for technical or entertainment-type jobs, there may be specific qualifications needed. Again, the website of the company would be a good place to start.

In general, with any entry-level job in the travel industry, you want to have a good knowledge of geography and cultures (people from different parts of the world have different social expectations), and you want a strong background in customer service.
