We're heading to puerta Plata next week. just started packing. Any thoughts on extras we should bring? We also boughts some things to handout to our maid and around the hotel, some marbles, skipping ropes and little things to hand out to kids on our tours. can you think of any thing that people around in the more povrished areas would need? thanks

I see lots of born/breed Jamaican's read these so I am really asking you!! I am so exicted I will be visiting Negril in 3 weeks and want to know what I MUST do while I am there. I am going with a group and we have a trip to a waterfall planned but beside that...what are some other musts? I love love love reggae so where is good music, etc?

I have heard that resort workers can really take advantage of unsuspecting vacationers, and make you believe many lies to get you to help them. Not saying anything bad about the most wondeful country, but I just want to be careful on my next trip. I will be traveling alone

I need to get away.
So I'm thinking of planning a weekend away (last minute, I know june 30 - july 4) for myself - no cell phone, etc.
I'm mid-20's so I do like to go out. I like adventures, being active. I also enjoy a bit of nightlife. However, I am realistic and am open to any warnings about where not to go, what not to do as a female alone in a foreign place.
Overall, I'm looking to relax and have fun and try something new. I would be very appreciative of any advice - where to go, where to stay, where to visit, what to see, what to do, what not to do...
Appreciate any and all advice!

I wanna plan a great vacation to the carribeans for my boyfriend and myself. He's never been and neither have I. we live in the washiongton dc area and are in our 20"s . Just wanna go somewhere where we can relax and chill but have options to go party yet not feel like we have to. We would like to go somewhere carribean but will go somewhere within the us but not real close to DC. Preferably somthing with a beach. any suggestions?
