For those of you who don't know, it's the are that seperates North and South Korea and it stands for Demilitarized Zone (like in James Bond but less dessolate). Since I'm stationed in the South Korea right now as a US Air Force member, I've been twice Just got back from my second trip like an hour ago). If you've been what do you think of it? It's pretty crazy and intense at times, but still really intersting to me.

Our Taekwondo dojang is planning a trip to Korea the last week of November. What can we expect as far as weather goes? We will be in Seoul and Busan. When we are not in the host dojangs training, what would be the "must-see" places while in those cities?
Thanks.

I thought they are impoverished to make one. I hope that they could channel the funds in improving their economy rather funding their nuclear ambition.

It seems nearly every massage place I go to in Korea is a place of prostitution. Anyone know a place that actually offers massage in Uijeongbu, I have had chronic back pain for years and massages help me limit the amount of pain medication I need.

Do I have to write a Letter of Sponsorship to the Korean Immigration Office, and a separate Letter of Invitation to my fiancee? There has been mention of notarisation of the Letter of Invitation which my fiancee has to lodge with her visa application at the Korean Embassy in Manila - which Korean office notarises the letter of Invitation? Is it the Korean Immigration Office? What details should actually go in the Letter of Invitation? What is the notarisation procedure for such letter as those which I have to draft for my fiancee to lodge with her application with the Korean Embassy in Manila? I want to make sure I get it it right for the Korean Embassy in Manila!

I am living in South Korea right now and am an avid trail runner and road cyclist. Not a lot of maps here for me to use. Well at least I haven't found really good ones like National Geographic TOPO. So I was thinking of buying a GPS from home and having it sent over here. However, I don't know if it will work? I am unsure about mapping software for maps of places outside of the U.S. Can I buy a GPS from the states and use it in South Korea? If so, where could I find mapping software that would work with that unit? Also, woudl anyone know about purchasing a GPS in Korea for my purposes?

Thanks,

M

There's 9 adults and 7 small children so I have to get the best priced accomodation. Are the resorts in Korea very particular about occupancy numbers? I might want to stay one or two nights in the skiing resort so which resort around seoul would be the best? All of us are beginners. The kids have not done any skiing before. Would early December be a good time for us to come?
In addition I am also looking at serviced apartment in Seoul to accomodate our big family. Anyone knows of weekly rentals that have 2 bedrooms apartment ? Since its a big group we prefer to cook. any tips would be appreciated to help me plan our holidays.
