I would like to do a lot of shopping and want to feel safe returning to my hotel room at night. I have heard of Myeondong and Dongdaemun for good deals. I would like to buy womens jeans, LV bags, cute jackets, and a few mens clothes. I also need to do christmas shopping for my 2 year old which means... TOYS! Please tell me if you know where I can find one of these cool I-Rivers I keep reading about. Oh, and bootleg DVDs are a must!

I am currently single. I am certified teach English as 2nd language. I've witnessed my friends who've been to Korea and got treated EXTREMELY WELL by a huge number of Korean girls (of legal age of 18+) provided that you're a white man. A lof of them have come back with a Korean wife.

I am asking this to Korean women. How easily are you attracted to a white male English instructor?

I only spent 4 days in Seoul (mostly visiting the palaces and shopping) and 3 in Jeju (mostly going around the coast). Are there hidden spots I should not miss?

What about the other cities outside Seoul? It would be nice to visit places off the beaten track, and I don't mind roughing it out.

I have to go to South Korea for a day or two for work. I can stay later (on my dime) if I want to tour the place for a few days. I know nothing about either place, cost or methods of lodging. Previously, I asked about getting tourist visas to the USA for my girlfriend who is Korean...I was told it shouldn't be too hard unless my girlfriends assets are insufficient...Well that seems to be the problem...She tells me her family as well as her finances are not up to par....so I am not sure what to do....I don't want to get turned down and have trouble getting a visa in the future...Anyone have anymore advice for me? I don't mind, but it seems that this section has become very much a translation services. (Often it is some guy who had a girl write/say something to him in Korean and half the time it doesn't make sense.) Surely there is enough in Korea to talk about, besides the langauge? Just a thought.
