I only spent 4 days in Seoul (mostly visiting the palaces and shopping) and 3 in Jeju (mostly going around the coast). Are there hidden spots I should not miss?

What about the other cities outside Seoul? It would be nice to visit places off the beaten track, and I don't mind roughing it out.

Thanks in advance!

gyeongju (kyungju) has lots of traditional architecture, fresh air, bulguksa(famous temple), and well known for the huge burial mounds of ancient kings. was silla kingdom capital.

yusong in daejon has great saunas, cheap motels, and daejon has a fun party scene. try santa claus bar or brick house for meeting other foreigners, playing pool and relaxing over some beers.

Find a place called "Human Valley" on the west coast. The movie "Everybody has secrets" was made there.

For the rest go over to the east coast. There are some nice places to camp. The pension "November" is great and should be easy to find via a search. Also head down South and go check out places around Busan.

BTW have u been up to the DMZ?

A quick trip is a day or two at Everland outside Suwon. You can catch a bus from Seoul.

Enjoy your travels

The suggestions other folks have made are great. I'd also like to add JeonJu. It's about an hour's bus ride south of Daejeon. One section of town is called the Hanok Village, and it's all made of traditional houses and buildings. There are 2 different places you can stay overnight, and experience everything from sleeping on heated floors to a full traditional Korean breakfast in the morning. I've stayed at both of them, and would gladly go back to either.

Depending on what time of year you go, Jeonju also hosts a Paper Festival and an International Film Festival.

If you do go to Jeonju, try and fit in a visit to the PanAsia Paper Museum. I know it sounds dorky, but my friends and I really enjoyed it. (And it's free!)

Have you gone to those filming sites from korean dramas.
seoul is famous for its filming sites.
You can go to yongpyong ski resort to visit the famous "winter sonata" filming site.
Also, you can go to Lotte world to see the filming site for "Stairway to heaven", and take a ride on the merry-go-round that the female lead liked to ride.
Otherwise, visit the ice skating rink in lotte world which is also a filming site for a few korean dramas, such as: Full house etc.
In addition, visit the Everland Theme park where they filmed the drama: My Love Patzzi.

If not, you could visit Pusan.

Try to visit DaeGu... ^^

Daegu is known as the home of Korean baseball. Before the advent of the professional leagues, its high school teams were avidly followed. The city was a co-host of the 2002 World Cup soccer game. A new football stadium was built for the event.

Try to go to Woobang Tower, it is a 202 metre tall TV tower with an observation deck in Daegu, South Korea. Its one of the tourist attraction in my place... ^^"

Do you the actress Son Ye-jin and Lee Jung-hyun? They Lived there!! kkk ^^
