While the military is on alert, the civilian population just keeps on keepin' on. None of the civilian's I've talked to are very concerned. Threats from the North have come and gone on a regular basis for the past 50 years, and most people don't see this one as being any different.

South Korea will not take any military actions unless the North acts first. I highly doubt an all out war will occur. Obviously, people are taking precautions just in case Kim Jung Il is that crazy. People want to work diplomatically to solve the problems.

I am living in Japan and I am not very worried. I honestly think he is only doing this to get international attention. He knows if a war were to break out, his country wouldn't last one week against US and allied forces.

I live in South Korea. They have put their military on a higher state of alert and have increased patrols in the Demilitarized Zone (DMZ). There is no curfew and there are no military operations agains the North yet.
