MMMmmmm they have fast internet, but it depends on the building.

ASDL is more available but more expensive.
VSDL has to be pre-wired into the building and is less often available. It is cheaper and faster than ASDL

Both are about 1-2MB lines, but there was a 4MB coming out as I was leaving last year, so ask around.

You'll pay between 20 and 50 000 won pm for internet,

Happy surfing

Yes it is true that Koreans download movies in a blink of an eye, BUT this is from KOREAN sites. I used to do it too on my brother-in-law's account. Downloading from international sites take just as long if not longer than elsewhere.

Normally Koreans can download a movie of 600mb in a couple of minutes. ADSL was popular about 7 years ago,,and VDSL was next, which was in vogue some years ago,,and now,,,the faster one, I'm sorry I don't know the exact term.
Koreans are very sensitive with the new digital models, and are known as the most picky, so the biggest digital firms like to test their new models in Korea market first.
Although the software developement here are still slower than that of the U.S, Koreans are proud of their competitive internet use enviroment.

Well, my internet is currently running at 54 Mbps. But mine is cable, and most people have better internet. I think mine is pretty fast though I can download a movie in 2 hours sometimes.
