Hello everyone..

Myself and the girlfriend are thinking of going to Kenya to celebrate her birthday on 8th March next year.. We cannot leave England before the 1st March and want to be away for about 2 weeks.. I have heard that the rainy season is in March.. is it wise to go at this time, or should we postpone it to later in the year?

We are looking to do some safari visits but also some time on the beach.. If anyone can recommend any places to go/visit and then stay then that would be awesome.. thanks

Hi. I'll be in Tanzania for a month in December, with maybe 10-14 days diving, lying on the beach and generally lazing about around Zanzibar at the end.

I'm a backpacker, so looking for advice from like-minded travellers (hint: I'm a New Zealander who loved Thailand) about the best dive spots, and the best place to relax with a few other yound backpackers before I head back to London. I'm more about the company than the quality of amenities, so perfectly happy to sleep in a one-room hut to save some money.

Hi. I'm visiting Tanzania for a month in December, and I want to spend some time - maybe 5-10 days - seeing the wildlife. I quite like the idea of a walking safari, so I can get a little closer to nature than I might on a driving safari. I want to enjoy the experience, rather than just drive in, get a photo of leave.

I don't have a lot of time unfortunately (as I'm spending a bit of time diving around Zanzibar and climbing Kilimanjaro) so it'd be difficult to spend too much time travelling to escape the tourists.

Are there any like-minded travellers out there who can give me some advice? Would be much appreciated. If you could recommend a good (budget-mid range) operator it'd be even better.

I mean, I wouldn't suggest that an American go to Iraq right now for example. From what I've seen of Egypt in pictures it looks wonderful and I would very much like to visit there someday. Not everybody hates Americans so please don't give me that...I've been to many countries in Europe and they like you just fine as long as you are respectful.

I'm going to be in Italy in a few weeks and thought of maybe going to Egypt from there, because it is less expensive than if I was coming from the U.S.....so any advice or tips would be appreciated because if I'm going to do this I need to decide soon.
