I'm 17, 5'7, 105 lbs, and I've played tennis before but would like to start seriously now. I need some help- would the Wilson nCode n6 be good for me? And should I buy MidPlus or Oversize? And what is Grip? As in 4-3/8 grip? For my height, which grip should I get?

I'm a 17 year old girl who has never played tennis before, but I've played plenty of badminton and I've been very good at it, and I need help in finding a good tennis racquet for beginning tennis players who would like to eventually play seriously. If I want to play seriously, should I buy an intermediate level racquet because I'm 5'7 and I weigh roughly 105 lbs. but I'm pretty strong because I'm also a figure skater. And which companies??

PBZ Zagreb Indoors Men's Final. [1] Ljubicic vs. [2] Baghdatis. Sunday 4th February.

Ljubicic is going for his 8th title while Baghdatis is going for his 2nd. Both players need the ranking points to make up for a disappointing Australian open where Ljubicic fell from no.4 to no.8 and Baghdatis no.11 to no.21. Ljubicic is the defending champion of the Zagreb title and the home favourite in the capital of Croatia, but has dropped three sets in the first four rounds and has struggled to get pass teh likes of Koubek, Tomas Johansson (which he won in a final set tie-break) and Youzhny. Baghdatis on the other hand has only hit a road block once; in the third round against 8th seed Clement where he come out the victor in a final set tie-breaker.

It will be a great final and the best match from the three tournaments being held this week (Zagreb, Delray Beach and Vina del Mar). I am tipping Ljubicic, despite his below par performances in earlier rounds.

Maria and her father have been caught exchanging hand signals as Maria plays on the court. Just about every one knows what's happening. When questioned, she deflates, rather than answer the questions. Fines of $2,000, will not stop this as she could potentially win a grand slam and earn a million dollars. For such a public, darling of the media, she is not setting a good example for children.

it sounds like a good practice for tennis. it might help build up endurance and might also improve one's speed on court.

I usually practice tennis more than 5 hours a day. Is that too much, or is it not a problem? Also, what are some possible consequences of too much practice?

Can the presence and influence of one boorish, arrogant, and obnoxious American (Connors) really be of benefit to essentially the younger version of himself (Roddick)? Roddick has always been rude and cocky - the classic "ugly American" - and now he's being mentored by the grand-daddy of them all? Is it any coincidence that Roddick's unseeming on- and off-court behavior seems to have intensified since the introduction of Connors to his team? Profanity in press conferences, additional swagger on the court, and the now infamous "you don't bring sand to the beach" comment with Paris Hilton on his arm? Roddick can't seem to play a match without staring longingly at Connors between EVERY point. Like a teenager clutching their precious mobile phone for dear life, this grown adult has now grown completely dependent on Jimmy Connors for constant validation. This is the guy we want representing American tennis? Did Roddick need a new mentor, or does he really need a good etiquette class?

Competition for Nadal is increasing everyday, he finds himself losing to players who would be blown off the court by a certain Mr Federer. Will Nadal be able to refocus and stay at no-2? Because I think Gonzalez looks sure to rise up to atleast no-3.

Serena was written off by the critics, but her true fans believed in her abilty to rise. I could help but enjoy watching ,point by point how Serena showed Sharapova & the critics who's the real champ in women tennis. 8 grand slams is a record to envy & she definetly booked her name in tennis histroy as one of the greatest & propably many slams to come. I say bravo Serena, it was about time to step in & show how tennis should be played & silence your critics & Sharapva's fan.
Anyone wants to add any comments ?

I just came from my competition. Yes, i won, mostly because my opponent was a terrible tennis player. I didnt do quite well myself. It seems like the game was won without really much playing but mostly serving. I myself sucked in that but managed to win 6-1. Im now in the semifinals and i need to admit i feel lucky winning but im not truly happy. How can i see the bright side of this? I didnt even had to play the first round cos my opponent didnt show up. I automatically won 6-0. I personally dont believe in luck. I really played terrible. How can i have faith in myself and build up confidence? Im faithless.
