what u do: hit the ball with the racket; keep on ur toes and move fast.
u can do: volleys, overhead shots, fast shots, forehand, backhand.
rules for singles game: keep the ball inside the alleys--if it goes out into the alleys, it's out and the other person wins a point.
double game rules: alleys are in.
*if the ball hits the line, it's in; if the opponent did't see if the ball was in or not, then it's in.
points: 15, 30, 45, duce. (i think? not sure about poitns)
overall, pretty fun game--im a tennis player too.
it takes practice though---took me a couple years of playin to get the hang of it, but now that i do, it's fun!!! take some tennis classes--they'll help u get moving

To enjoy tennis, you don't have to be good. But to be a decent club player you might need a year or two under you belt. But hit the courts, tennis is a very fun game!

go to the usta web site for rules. Other than that: 1. take a lesson. Nothing better than starting with good fundamentals. 2. Get in shape. Tennis is one of those sports that requires you to be in shape to play. Tennis elbow, ankle sprain, shoulder pain etc are injuries common to tennis players and they can be minimized if you are strong and flexible. 3. Grip it and rip it.

don't touch the net during the game or you loose the point...scoring goes, love, 15, 30, 40, game and if you are tied 40-40 then you do duece, then if you get the point it's add in and if you loose it's add out .... no add games is 1, 2, 3, 4 and first to four wins if your are both at 3 then your oppent or the receiver chooses return of serve side... just read more online!!!

wear loose clothing so you can move around; hold the tennis racket in the same way you would hold a remote, and have the broad side facing the net; keep your eye on the ball, and try to hit it over the net. If you hit it over the net and the ball hits the ground on your opponents side, you gain a point; if you miss the ball and it hits the ground on your side of the net, then your opponent gets a point.
have fun!

I believe it is pretty simple.Just hit the ball and make sure that your opponent won't hit it back.I'm joking. The rules are a little bit hard to learn. Now,if you want to play i think that it's important to be really fit.
