PBZ Zagreb Indoors Men's Final. [1] Ljubicic vs. [2] Baghdatis. Sunday 4th February.

Ljubicic is going for his 8th title while Baghdatis is going for his 2nd. Both players need the ranking points to make up for a disappointing Australian open where Ljubicic fell from no.4 to no.8 and Baghdatis no.11 to no.21. Ljubicic is the defending champion of the Zagreb title and the home favourite in the capital of Croatia, but has dropped three sets in the first four rounds and has struggled to get pass teh likes of Koubek, Tomas Johansson (which he won in a final set tie-break) and Youzhny. Baghdatis on the other hand has only hit a road block once; in the third round against 8th seed Clement where he come out the victor in a final set tie-breaker.

It will be a great final and the best match from the three tournaments being held this week (Zagreb, Delray Beach and Vina del Mar). I am tipping Ljubicic, despite his below par performances in earlier rounds.

Though Marcos Baghdatis is a great player, I think Ivan Ljubicic will win. Ivan is horrible in grand slams (he has lost in the 1st or 2nd round in 24 out of 30 grand slams), but outside of grand slams he is a very good player, who consistently wins (outside of grand slams). Marcos Baghdatis is a streaky, powerful player, but unless he has a great day look for Ivan Ljubicic to win the title.
My prediction: Ivan Ljubicic wins by 6-4, 6-7, 6-3.

I would have to go with Baghdatis cos he is a fighter and Ljubicic just hasn't shown his true form yet this year.

I will also tip Ljubicic, he always does well out of grandslams, and bagdhatis has lost alot of his sparkle. even though Ljubicic struggled he has come up against some tough opponents Youzhny especially.
