Exactly what is a double hit? Is it defined explicitly in the rules? For example, what if the ball hits your strings and then the racquet? Is that a double hit? Can you tell by the sound the ball makes against the racquet?

Also, must the frame of the racquet be straight, or can it be slightly curved? I knew a guy who played with a slightly curved frame so he could sling balls back at the opponent, using very loose strings. I told him I thought slinging the ball like that was illegal, but he didn't care. I told him only clean, crisp hits count. Right?

I don't get it. I'm all for gender equality, but if that is the goal they why not make women play 5 sets?

More women than men run in long distance road races and women with their naturally higher fat content have an advantage over men at extremely long distances.

I wear New Balance 880 running shoes, but I need some for the court. I'll try the New Balance store, but I wanted to see if there were any other brands that might work. Without the right support, the outside of my feet kill me.

I've been playing tennis all of my life and have always played at a very competitive level. When I was 16 I was ranked number 70 in the G18 division of Southern CA. I recieve some letters from colleges then.. Now I'm seventeen and currently live in Cancun, Mexico. Due to some problems with my father, he has stopped supporting me (and my sisters who also play) with our tennis and I haven't been able to play enough tournaments anywhere to have a ranking. I really hope to get a scholarship to college because I know that me and my sisters are good enough to play on any team. If we have NO RANKING, is it still possible to get a scholarship into a decent school? Can anyone give me any advice please?
