That's a real good point about Seles, you can say it's an injury, although probably the more damaging part is what it does mentally. Seles was well on her way to win lots of slams, but never really recovered after that.
Blake's injury was really bad, but fortunately he's now back at the top ten. Some others, while at the time doesn't seem that severe, really hurt their careers, like Kim Clijsters' wrist injuries and Juan Carlos Ferrero.
Perhaps because tennis is not a contact sport like basketball, the injuries tend to be the stress and strain which build up in the body. Not one sharp incident like a heavy blow to the head, etc.

I remember about 1991 Michael Stich went for a ball and ran around the net in the umpire's direction. Then his left foot and half of his down part of his leg bended in one direction and the rest of his body in another, sort of 45 grades, That was a fracture of course and the worst I've ever seen in a tennis court.

I'm not sure if its the worst ever, but I heard that a Russian player called Andrei Chesnokov somehow broke his leg in two different places in a match in 1997. More recently, James Blake nearly broke his neck in 2004 when he ran headlong into a net-post during practice for a clay-court event.
Hope this helps.

I'd say Monica. I don't remember the details, but I know it's a pretty scary thing to see if you are a child! She was my favorite at that time.Man, do you think some maniac can appear and do the same or something worse to his "most beloved" tennis player, male or female?!How can a person be safe?

I suppose one could say the stabbing of monica seles. it kinda ended her soaring career. it seemed to wear on her mind and she went downhill fast and cut short her brilliant career. (remember the nutjob who lept from the stands and jammed a big knife in her back?) i mean she was certainly injured.
