If Federer plays at the level he did last year, he will win. If he plays like he is playing now, I wouldn't bet my money on him. He didn't exactly play great tennis on Sunday (Wimbledon final).

One of the favorites to win, the other 2 are Nadal and Djokovic. Based on the Wimbledon final, I think Federer's chances of winning the US Open is slightly slimmer than last year.

Federer has equal chance of winning US Open as Nadal and Novak Djokovic. Federer needs to improve his game far better
than he played at Wimbledon and French this year.
IMHO, Nadal and Djokovic has improved their games and
hence it would be difficult for Federar to win. But still he has
the game and he can do it.
Lets hope Federer, Nadal, Novak and Roddick make to the
semis.

There is no reason, he shouldn't win it.He will rise to the occasion and take his 12th major title. Unlike Wimbledon, which is beginning to favor baseliners , the Open will definitely favor Fed.'s style of play.I look forward to seeing him in action.GO FEDERER.....................................
