i hear bobbers go to a certain depth. i thought bobbers r supposed to float on top of the water to know that i have a bite for bluegill, what do they mean? how should i rig my rocket bobber. should i put it in between 2 split shots to let go of tension? can split shots be used as a bobber stop?

A group of friends and I ages range from 20-22 are looking for something fun to do and we thought of renting a boat and perhaps going fishing (for those of us with fishing licenses). There will probably be 8 of us and so we're also wondering if there's a limit to certain boats (sizes/occupancy/etc.). Also, if anyone knows how much approximately it would cost to rent a boat big enough for that many people please let me know. Thanks :)

How is the trout fishing? I've heard there are a lot of big fish but I'm wondering how many anglers they see; I get the feeling that they get fished pretty hard. Also, do the feeder creeks such as Canoe Creek hold trout?

I know that every pond is different, but I've heard from alot of people that to practice try fishing a golf course pond. At first I thought it was all a joke, but I've read a number of bass articles talking about this as well. Do anglers go up and ask the course if there are fish in the ponds? What would make a golf course want to put bass in their ponds to begin with?I'm getting very curious and would like to fish my local course. Please give me some information on this.

Trying to make my own mix for the new Gardner Bait Bomb, cannot get it right, I'm mixing together in a food processor for 2 minutes 3 slices of bread, 1 oz of hemp & two table spoons of flour then microwave at high power for 2 minutes.
The trouble I'm having is when I test them they take to long to break up in the water - Help please & tight lines.

I have a few old Heddon lures and some others that have been on a shelf for years. Wondering if anyone can help to find out what they are worth if anything. I dont have Ebay and dont plan on getting it so any other suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Our adult son has lost the use of his left arm. He loved rock fishing but to date we have not been able to find a suitable rod, reel and tackle so he can continue this sport. A couple of sporting stores have looked into this for us but to date no-one has been successful. It is his 30th birthday in a month and we would love to be able to put this pleasurable past-time back within his reach.

I admit, I've only been fishing for those kind of fish a couple of times, all of my experience comes workin/fishing in AK, but I'm moving to a tropical area in about a year, and I'd like to set up shop there. Besides lures and poles and the basics, what kind of stuff will I need, and how big a boat (I know "people have chaught 700lb marlin from a rowboat!...and all of that crap, but I mean, to have 4 guests (my ideal #) a deckhan and myself, with room to hold the catch for a full day charter). When I Deck handed for a friend in Hawaii, he had a 42 foot hatteras that was awesome, but I could see getting by with less, at least to get started, but maybe that's how big you need...?

when I went to break down my 7 foot surf fishing rod it wouldn't come apart - top piece was stuck hard in bottom piece. Any ideas as to how to separate them?
