On paper, it seems like a great matchup, though it doesn't look like many points will be scored.

Who do you guys have and what's your final score?

1. Adrian Peterson (Vikes) is not the best RB in the NFL. He sure had some fans thinking that way though at mid season of his rookie year.

2. Rex Grossman is not the answer in Chicago. Shocking huh? 90% of America know that last season but Lovie Smith just figured it out this season.

3. Randy Moss truly does play only when he wants to play. Poor Randy had no talent around him in Oakland which explains his bad seasons. If anyone believes that one...I have some ocean front property in Arizona to sell you. If he desires..he can make ANY QB look like a god.

4. DeAngelo WIlliams is a much better RB than Deshaun Foster. Wonder if Carolina will realize that next season?

5. Shaun Alexander's career as an elite RB in the NFL is behind him. Same goes for Ahman Green.

6. Houston made the correct choice in the Bush/Williams draft debate.

7. Detroit is a WR wasteland. Tsk tsk tsk...all that talent and so little production.

Care to add anything?

Mercury Morris from the '72 Dolphins has denied the significance of New England's 38-35 victory, unlike the majority of the Dolphins players and coaches from that team.

Morris said. "It doesn't matter to me whether or not they win them all because it doesn't affect anything we've done."
"When all the dust clears, the best they can do is to stand beside us, and in the end, that's not a bad thing," Morris said.

I'm sorry Mr. Morris, but if the Patriots do go on and win the Super Bowl this season, they WILL become the best team in NFL history by going 19-0; which is better than your 17-0 record. To me, they won't be beside you in the NFL record books, they will be on top.
That is my thought, what do you think?

I wonder how many of them really truly think their team will go all the way to the Superbowl.

ah...so naive, so naive....

after Oakland hands over their fourth from Super Bowl XI that was cheatingly obtained:

"During a 1976 playoff game between the Oakland Raiders and the New England Patriots, Dreith called a roughing the passer penalty on Patriots tackle Ray "Sugar Bear" Hamilton, nullifying a third down incompletion and giving the Raiders an automatic first down deep in New England territory. Replays would clearly show that there was no illegal contact, but the call set up Oakland's game-winning touchdown with less than a minute left. Partially because of the controversy, the league never assigned Dreith to officiate Patriots games again."

He chose not to play in 3 games. The games were played other NFL players ,like Mark Gastineau, that did not respect the "Millionaire Strike", but now Jerry Rice wants some credit for choosing to sit down instead of play? Good Grief!!!

Congratulations Randy Moss - The Real TD Receptions in a Season Record holder.

Pick winner and score. i.e. Indiana 24-17

Winner is chosen by picking winner then
coming closest to points differences.
if final score is 24-17 then difference is 7.
if there is a tie after that then I'll just randomly select a winner.

I will be asking this question for every bowl game the day before the game.

It seems as though they should review how they calculate the passer rating. Brady passed for more yards, better completion percentage, more touchdowns, fewer interceptions. The three areas Manning was better were in yards per attempt, sacks and fumbles lost. I think those categories that Brady was better in should hold more weight than Mannings.
