He chose not to play in 3 games. The games were played other NFL players ,like Mark Gastineau, that did not respect the "Millionaire Strike", but now Jerry Rice wants some credit for choosing to sit down instead of play? Good Grief!!!

Congratulations Randy Moss - The Real TD Receptions in a Season Record holder.

" i think they had a strike that season so he did'nt finish the season"

They played 15 games. He could have played them all, but decided to strike 3 of the games. They were close to the beginning of the year.

On NFL network last week. He was sort of kidding, unlike Shula during his quote.

"Patriot*** nightmare:
Jerry: "Hey Peyton! I'm thinking of a comeback. Could you guys use another receiver?""

Peyton is thinking of being his Dancing with the Stars partner? That IS a nightmare. Completely understandable, though.

What's the point? It was a 15 game season anyway, no matter if Rice did not played all of them. Rice had more TD passes in 15 games, while Moss had the chance to play one more game.

Why you don't mention the nice new rules that benefit the passing game? Rice did not have them.

um because it took Rice 12 games to make the record and it took the so called greatest reciever ever, 4 more game to barely beat it, I mean the only people that think Moss is the greatest is the dumb fans in Boston, I mean lets be serious Moss is good but he aint that good. Did you like him last year when he stunk it up for the Raiders i didnt think so. If it were reversed you would be saying add an * to the record because it took him 4 more games than Moss, so quit your hatin.

hey here's something for you, had randy not been complaining these past years, u wouldn't have asked this question would you. jerry rice is the best all time reciever no questions asked no rebuttles either. congrats to randy moss but 4 games sat out and u think that jerry wouldn't get atleast one TD thats insane.

where did you get this information? . . . . . last interview i heard of J. Rice was about 3 days ago while i was watching ESPN 2 . . . . he never said anything like that & in fact said that he would call randy moss to congratulate him . . . . .

but are you seriously telling me that if J. Rice played his last 4 games, he wasnt going to snatch a TD . . . .?

highly unlikely, thats why i do agree that there is some need to differentiate when it comes to the TD record . . . . .

gl & peace!

Moss deserves the record, but Rice is still the best WR to ever play the game.

he still had 22 in 12, and moss didn't match that. if moss had broken the record in 12 i'd respect him. he didn't. no contest, jerry rice is the best who ever lived.
