(pardon me if I'm the only one who feels this way, but)I think that the Redskins are the feel good story of the NFL this year. I mean, they started out in a slump. Then there was talk about Joe Gibbs getting fired because many think his mentality doesn't fit with the way the NFL is today. Then they go through the horrible tragedy of losing their best defensive player, & now they're one win away from going to the playoffs.
As much as it pains me to write this (being a Cowboys fan), I truly am happy for everything they've overcome this season.

I'm not a 'Skins fan, but it's safe to say that their fans probably are getting pretty excited. They are headed to the playoffs unless they blow their lead over Dallas AND Minnesota comes back on Denver.
Is Washington a legit Super Bowl contender? Probably not. But you only have to go back two years to find a #6 seed that won the Super Bowl (Pittsburgh).
That's the beauty of the playoffs. The records don't matter and everyone starts over at 0-0. Not even this year's Patriots are guaranteed a Super Bowl title just yet.

They won't be playing the cowboys in Seattle next week where I will be rooting against them. The cowboys have a knack for making weak teams look better than they are, it's uncanny, it really is. Go Texans.
