Fantasy Sports - October 2007

I'm in a salary cap league where I've got Brady as my starting QB. But, I have enough salary cap room to pick up a second QB in my flex position. I know the QBs have lit up the fantasy scoreboard. And, I can afford Tony Romo against the Eagles or Derek Anderson against the Seahawks. Who should I go with and why? Serious, thoughtful answers only please.

Oh man.....what to do, what to do. I have a BUNCH of (in my view) underachieving WR's.

My WR's are...... (with projected week 9 points listed after)

Best answer will recieve 11 points. (Also, if you could, please give me a tad bit of info on the defense each is playing is good or bad at the Pass Defense, because that is one area I am not an expert in, with the defenses)

Which would you rather have for the rest of the fantasy season? Hines Ward or Rudi Johnson? 1 pt per 10 yards rushing/receiving, 6 per scored TD. Will Rudi be starting and getting the bulk of the load in a couple of weeks? Or will he be platooning with Kenny Watson? Big decision! I need your help!

WR - Burress
WR - Wayne
WR - Curtis
TE - Cooley

Bench - Ben Watson, Earnest Graham, Chris Henry (receiver), Crayton

I Have been offered Colston, Dallas Clark, Willie Parker and Jones Drew for LT... my concerns are that San Diegos Offense isnt centered around LT anymore but Willie Parker doesnt score touchdowns, Colston only had one big week, Cooley is good, and Jones-Drew is pretty good. What do you think, trade him? trade him for a qb and rb? or keep him?

I am in a fantasy league for the first time with co-workers. My b/f said I need to get a top WR like Reggie Wayne. I have Deion Branch and Lee Evans. But I also don't want to look like an idiot. If I offer D.B and L.E. for Reggie Wayne will this trade likely be accepted? Is this a good idea on my part?

My other WRs are: Ike Hilliard; Kevin Walters; Chris Henry; and Javon Walker.

Of the ones I'm interested in:
Chris Henry - Ten
Justin Fargas - Oak
Michael Bennett - TB
Ryan Grant - GB
Adimchinobi Echemandu - Hou
Adrian Peterson - Chi

The breakdown:
Henry looks amazing, but hes not getting very many carries at all (4 this past week) but he makes the best of his carries. Will he get more eventually?
Oakland said they want to give fargas more carries with lamont hurting his back. He got just as many as Lamont and rhodes was nonexistent.
Bennett might get the start someday, but maybe not. I don't know what to think.
Grant did really well, but it was against the worst rush D in the league, he may have to split when jackson and wynn come back.
Echemandu looked great and should be the number 2 behind dayne. With green still hurt, will he make an impact?
Everyone says peterson will get more carries eventually with benson doing horrible, will he?

So yea, i need some help and some explanations too please. Thanks!

Heres the deal, I am playing in a 10 team 2 division league. It is a keeper league. The pay out for first place is 5k which to me is a lot of money. I am currently 4 and 4 but would be 7 and 1 if I would have gotten any production from my qb position, I have not started the right qb at the right time. Here is my line up, QBs- Warner, Brees, Griese. RBs- Tomlinson, Lynch, T. Jones, S. Young, J. Chapman, D. Ward. WRs- C. Johnson, D. Driver, D. Mason. TE- Cooley, K- Brown. We start individual defensive players but I am ok there. Here is my question, with my team, do you think it is a good enough team to keep and make a run at the title as is or do you think I should try to upgrade my wr position. I have been talking to a couple teams and I could give up something like either T. Jones, Chapman, or Young with Driver or Mason for either S. Smith or A. Bouldin or maybe R. Wayne. I might also have to give up D. Dockett (DL Az) in addition to one of the rbs and wrs.

I have Wes Welker, someone is offering to trade Clinton Portis for him.

Welker has more fantasy points and is one of Brady's favorite targets, although not a lot of TDs. Generally speaking I'd call Welker a tier 2 WR, however on the Patriots it's tier 1.

Portis just doesn't seem to be on track with the Redskins, don't know if it's the coaches or the team or ?

Would you make that trade?

I thought I lacked blocks so I dealt Mike Miller for Kiilenko, and I just traded marbury for Redd. i think I may need to go after more assist now or probably another big man. What do ya'll suggest?? Should I try to move Peterson and (Alston/Harris) for another pg?
