Favre Week 8: Two long bomb TDs, 300+ yards passing.

Manning Week 8: 8-22 passing, under 60 yards.

Is there any doubt who will throw more, and more successfully? The Packers need Favre. The Giants may often turn into the Brandon Jacobs and Derrick Ward show, with only guest appearances by Plaxico Burress and Jeremy Shockey, to take advantage of their superior defense.

The lack of running game by the first-place Pack is the MAIN reason to start Favre.

Favre
Favre was nearly perfect in the second half against Denver. This matchup isn't as favorable as it looks, but Favre is one fo the few reliable quarterbacks playing today. If you own him, he starts.

And for Eli
The Giants didn't need a lot from Manning, and the conditions were bad, so we'll cut him a little slack, but his pattern of disappearing during the second half of the season makes this worrisome. Conditions won't always be good in the Meadowlands later this year, and perhaps that's been a factor in his second-half slumps.

So i would start Favre

I'd say ride Favre as long as you can, he's having one of those miracle type years. Eli is good to have as a second option, but frankly I'm concerned about Plax's health and Shockey has largely been a non-factor this year. Both these teams are playing out of their minds right now, so you might even want to think about just playing the matchups.

Favre. I see Eli play every week for I live in Jersey. He ALWAYS plays his seasons like this. Starts out throwing TDs and yardage then slowing down, then when the Giants as a team get rolling he ceases to exist. They'll both throw picks, they'll both throw yardage and TDs but Favre will do more of the latter in the remaining weeks.

I don't think this is even a question. Favre is a starter in all leagues, Eli on the other hand is not. I would take Farve.

My record this yr is 7-1

#1 Favre- He is always a solid start. Because GB has no running game to speak of he has taken it upon himself to carry the team. He scores points more consistantly than Eli and will play all the way up to the playoffs.

Right now I would rather have Eli. He has better targets than Farve. He has Shockey and underrated Plaxico Burress. Giants have a running game. Packers dont. That helps keep Eli protected.
