What is BABIP? i know its a stat used to see if a struggling or streaking pitcher will continue to do good/bad but i dont know how it is calculated.

If you could tell me what the letters stand for, the way it is calculated, and the normal average a pitcher gets that would be great

I don't understand why Lee Smith is not in the Hall of Fame. Can anyone give me a good reason why he isn't in Cooperstown? 478 career saves. That is more than what Mariano Rivera will end up with when his career is said and done. What else does a guy have to do?

I need a first baseman BAD... I have Casey Blake and Lyle Overbay rotating there, but I need someone solidly consistent. I've already dropped my original 1B (Richie Sexson, obviously).
