Of the ones I'm interested in:
Chris Henry - Ten
Justin Fargas - Oak
Michael Bennett - TB
Ryan Grant - GB
Adimchinobi Echemandu - Hou
Adrian Peterson - Chi

The breakdown:
Henry looks amazing, but hes not getting very many carries at all (4 this past week) but he makes the best of his carries. Will he get more eventually?
Oakland said they want to give fargas more carries with lamont hurting his back. He got just as many as Lamont and rhodes was nonexistent.
Bennett might get the start someday, but maybe not. I don't know what to think.
Grant did really well, but it was against the worst rush D in the league, he may have to split when jackson and wynn come back.
Echemandu looked great and should be the number 2 behind dayne. With green still hurt, will he make an impact?
Everyone says peterson will get more carries eventually with benson doing horrible, will he?

So yea, i need some help and some explanations too please. Thanks!

Chris Henry was out the first 5 games of the season. Since his return, he's gotten an average of 50 yards and 1 TD in his last two games. I think you can expect at least that from him each week, more if LenDale White gets injured or has a couple of bad games.

Justin Fargas was given 22 carries against Miami a few weeks ago and responded with 179 yards. He's had a total of 15 carries over the next 3 games for a total of 72 yards. He has gotten a couple of receptions a game over the last few weeks. But, he has yet to score a TD this season.

When the Bucs brought in Michael Bennett, everyone thought he was going to be the feature back. Instead, it's obvious that he's just an occasional goal line guy. In his two games with Tampa, he has a total of 6 carries for 44 yards and 1 TD. Earnest Graham is the feature back for Tampa.

Ryan Grant looked impressive, particularly on that one long drive where he carried the ball a few times in a row. Then again, it was against a dismal Broncos run defense. This was also the first time Grant got more than 3 carries in a game all year. Then again, the Packers pass on about 80% of their offensive plays. As the weather gets cold, the Pack will have to run the ball more. Will they give it to Grant or Morency? I would guess Grant.

In his 2007 season debut, Echemandu came off the practice squad and put up 62 yards on 10 carries against one of the best run defenses in the NFL. That's as many yards per game as Dayne has gotten all year. When Dayne was with the Giants, he was Thunder to Tiki Barber's Lightning. With 6.2 yards-per-carry in his first game - against the Chargers - I would start Echemandu if I were Houston.

From week 2 through 8, Adrian Peterson never got more than 20 yards per game. And, he has been averaging 3 carries per game over the last month and a half. Benson averaged about 18 carries per game over that time. The Bears also have a bye next week. If they plan on handing the feature back duties to Peterson this year, it will be week 10 against the Raiders. Otherwise, I wouldn't waste a pick-up on such an unproven commodity.

My choices - in order of preference: Grant, Echemendu, Henry

Grant. He's getting bulk of carries for now. When Wynn/Jackson come back you will have to re-evaluate. But Pick up Grant now. He will get the start for the next 2-3 games.

Henry is the favorite here but Grant showed some promise for a pitiful run offense for the Pack. Don't get excited about Grant though. Denver has one of the worst run defenses in football.

I've heard Wynn may not play next week. Only Henry looks to be a solid pickup at this time. As you noted, he may not get a lot of carries, but he is maximizing those chances.
