The Spurs seem to be stockpiling players to bring on their roster in the summer of 2008 like 2002 first round draft choice in 27 year old European superstar and former European MVP Luis Scola , a 2005 first round draft choice of an early twenties French F/C type, a 2007 first round draft choice of Brazilian center Splitter who would have been a 2007 "lottery" choice in 2007 had he been eligible to sign in the summer of 2007, and with the Spurs possibly holding a first round draft choice from Phoenix exerciseable through 2010.
With 20 year old former Big 12 freshman of the year Marcus Williams and 2 year NCAA veteran, Spurs property, in the NBA-D league, Euro veteran and star Luis Scola, Euro veteran Splitter, is this the way for a NBA team to build for the future, and future continued success, in 2008 and beyond as the Spurs Tim Duncan, health permitting, has hopefully, 5 to 8 more years in the NBA and as 20ish Parker and Manu are locked in long term Spurs contracts as is Duncan?
