doubt it...a gifted player that you couldnt win titles without he was also one of the biggest distractions both on the court and off the court...voters will probably remember how he led the league in techs ,flagrants , tosses (ejections) and all his antics just as much as his rebounding and unselfish play...

On merit, yes, Rodman is a hall of famer. One of the game's most dominating rebounder and in-your-face defender. He won with the Pistons and with the Bulls. Yes, his off the court shenanigans and his on the court shenanigans like dying his hair rainbow color are going to hurt him. In a way his personality highlighted his on the court gifts as a non-scorer, yet he took it over the edge and narrow minded voters will hold that against him.

I say yes. Eventhough he is a crazy dude when it comes to his personal life, he always played hard on the court on defense and always wanted to get that rebound.
Hope his crazy personal would not get in his way of becoming a Hall of Famer though

it can be a black-eye on the Basketball hall of repute if he gets in. And any real basketball fan will sense the same way. He grow to be strictly a one-dimensional participant who grow to be known greater for being a action picture star than a great basketball participant. Did he have ability? genuinely, yet he chosen to waste it. He grow to be surely no offensive possibility, and he sat below the basket and cherry picked his rebounds, unlike somebody like Wilt Chamberlain who performed the entire game AND grow to be the final rebounder in heritage! great group participant? supply me a ruin! He single-handedly fee the Spurs a gamble at a identify along with his selfishness. Ask David Robinson how great of a "group participant" Rodman grow to be. the reason he gained titles with Chicago grow to be because of the fact rebounding grow to be the only element the Bulls mandatory from him, and that they've been prepared to place up along with his B.S. with a view to win. Sorry, yet till Dennis Johnson gets in, "The malicious software" will purely could desire to attend.

Dikembe Mutombo was a better defender in his prime. Rodman is a borderline nominee, given that his primary contribution was on the rebounding end. He only really dominated on that end for about 7 seasons, and was injured (and otherwise occupied) for much of that time.
On the merits, I would say he is a fringe nominee, but when you factor in the personal transgressions, that puts another fringe candidate ahead of him, in my book.

It's true that he dominated the defensive boards like Bill Russell, but just because he wasn't exceptional at offense and because of some of his off court behavior, he's not getting in. I hate to break it to you, but the leagues likes its great players to be role models, too. Except for Kobe, Kobe is beyond the league, Kobe can do whatever he wants cuz he's just that retarded.

The one and only shame that I have for being a San Antonio Spurs fan is that Rodman actually played for the Spurs. However, they won inspite of his antics. I can only think of one player who may be more dispicable. Allen Iverson !!! Well maybe two: Ron Artest

No. He is a Hall Of Shamer! Just marrying himself should put an end to that talk. A lot of guys could have done what he did if they just concentrated 100% on defense.
