The Boston Celtics have been a bad team or not terribly successful team since the retirement of Larry Bird. It seems srtrange that one of their most successful former players, who has coached other teams to more than 1000 victories, has never coached the team he played on. Why is that?

The NIT has some pretty exciting teams this year with WVU, Syracuse, Kansas State, NC State, OK, Depaul,Georgia and more. These games most not lopsided like the opening rounds of the NCAA. Could be the NIT is a better fan watch than the NCAA? The first games were barn burners from big time teams. Until the final four the NCAA is ho hum

do you think nash should get another mvp over dirk nowtizki, lebron james, gilbert arenas, kobe bryant, dwayne wade, t-mac etc.? personally, i think dirk should get it. yes nash is having another great year but to win a third mvp in a row is not fair to the other great players who never won one. if he has another great season next year and the years after that, should he win a 4th, 5th and 6th mvp's? i don't think so. not even jordan, magic and bird did that. jordan could've won at least 2-3 more times but he already won it 4 times in his career that they had to give it to other players like malone, barkley, hakeem, d robinson and shaq. dirk nowtizki is having his best season of his career and his team is the best in the nba right now. plus he's making less shot attempts at a higher field goal percentage. give it to the big guy already, will ya.

Since these guys are the dirtiest players in their respective sports should they just get a room and hang out together. They could learn so much from each other and could take their cheap shots to a whole new level.

I think now you see the difference between good teams and good players. The mavs are a great team, Dirk is not a great player, hes a good player, without his supporting cast of Terry and Howard, The Suns were almost Daring Dirk to shoot the ball, I see the Spurs scouting this game to expose the mavs in the playoffs.

And the two of you know it wasn't a foul, and all you did was trying to make a block raising your hands 90 degrees, but since you were pushed and/or took a breath, you made 89 degrees instinctively...

I mean, if you had wanted to stop your opponent deliberately, you would have made a better job.

Aren't blocks the best thing in basketball? Why are they ruining it? Why don't they let defense breathe?
