I think they can be qualified to the olympics. People from all over the world may think that the Philippine team is not at all good but that is really not the case. A guy here said if Filipinos have ever been to a professional game but do you s*upid person know that the Philippines has the first professional league in Asia? I guess you do not know that. The Philippine players are very good and I believe they can go all the way to the olympics. And add to that is the fact that the national team coach is a genius! Go Philippines!

Yes!!! Im very sure we will get that slot in Asia. We have a good team with a good preparation. With the proper offensive system in place, we will make it. It would really make all of the Filipinos proud.

During the 14th Asian Games in Korea (2002) which was an Olympic qualifyer, we finished with the bronze, but not after a tough, heartbreaking 1 pt loss to Korea who won the gold against China..

I think the biggest challenge would come from the middle east countries like Lebanon, Iran and not from Japan, Korea.

For sure, Philippines would come out on top on the qualifiers!

I think that would be very interesting. Anyone from the Philippines knows basketball is HUGE there. They have their own national professional basketball league! I have visited the website for that league. It is very cool.

I would hope the Philippines All Star players would be able to form a team and play in the Olympics. I think they would open some eyes!!

tough dude, tough...

since china has automatic entry by being the olympics hosts, one more slot was allocated for an asian representative...

enter the traditional asian powerhouses such as japan, sokor, bahrain, qatar, kuwait, kazakhstan, etc and you have a crowded affair going on...

philippine basketball has just sorted a huge leadership problem which derailed much need exposure for the players in international competitions to gain experience...

looks like chot reyes and the boys are cramming again -- a chronic problem for the philippines...

but i hope they can pull some major upsets here and there... and that other teams start beating each other...

specific ninety six group is plenty extra appropriate ........exceedingly with Shaq and Olajuwon. this could be my breakdown of the two: PG, 08 group they'd desire to start CP3 and then have Deron W. come off the bench and have Kidd are available only little or no (so some distance have been given this incorrect commencing Kidd!) SG, ninety six group no person on the edge of the taking photos skill of R. Miller and M. Richmond. Kobe B. super .....yet no longer a organic shooter (terrible taking photos exterior against China) SF, 08 group between C. Anthony, L. James, and others much extra athletic than the ninety six group and would plan many postitions. PF, ninety six Barkley and Malone actual extra appropriate than the 08 group. C, ninety six D. Robinson, Shaq, and Olajuwon it is the weak spot of the 08 group.....D. Howard is going to be extraordinary (fairly much there) yet he desires some huge guy help b/c if he gets into foul hassle this group is going to ought to run!
