Basketball - August 2006

I recently turned 26 years old. My idea of a fun Saturday night is going to the movies by myself. Last Saturday, an acquaintance invited me to go to this place called Bongos in Miami. It is a restaurant/club. She was going to be there with some of her friends, I decided not go because I knew I wouldn't be able to find someone to come with me. I didn't want to show up at the place all by myself, exposing myself that way. Needless to say, she has not spoken to me since then. This is the story of my life...always alone! I can always be found in public by myself. I seriously don't know what to do...This has been my life throughout high school, college, and now it's getting worse and worse. The only time I really interact with people is at work. I don't know what I'm going to do if my life continues that way. Your 20s are suppose to be spent developing your social skills, and meeting new people. I'm not even there...

Last year i tried out and i thought i was in perfect shape i mean i can run pretty well, shoot, dribbling skills are alright, but sometimes my speed and quickness arent good. I can play the Shooting Guard and Small Forward im about 6' and im entering my 10th grade year in high school. Last year when i tried out i made the first cuts but got cut in the final cuts that the coaches had made. I was kind of mad because i thought i was better then a couple of the players that made it. This year i will tryout for the JV team. Somy question is what can i do to get better and makethe team, like how can i get quicker, and a little bigger im 15 and about 140 lbs.

In basketball, when you are having one of those bad games, you know when the ones where you can't hit a shot and everything seems to go wrong? In a game like that, what should you do to make it a 'good' off game?

Alright I play basketball and I can shoot well but I just don't know how to get to the rim. Someone always steals it from me. I don't think my ballhandling is that bad cuz I am the best on my team at all the ball handling drills. Can someone help me?

Her dreams are to play for the LA Sparks, meet Lisa Leslie, and get a BBall Scholarship to Duke. What should she work on at home on her own to be better?
