Sometimes all you can do is laugh, getting frustrated just feeds that cycle where you get more frustrated and less works. It's the nature of the game that no matter how good you are you're going to get taken one time or another. The real measure of a player is if he can smile when that happens.

Smile, learn form it. You're allowed a bad game or two. It's how you get better. Give maximum effort and no-one will mind. Keep shooting open shots, go after rebounds, move without the ball a lot. You can pick up fouls on other players or simply wear them out trying to guard you, all of which can be useful as the game draws on. Also, try to deny your man the ball. You may not be able to beat them when they have the ball, but if they have to run around and change their offense just to get the ball, their team will stop going to them as frequently. People get frustrated when they can't get the ball. It leads to easy offensive fouls. It's all about effort.

If your shot is off, to have a "good" bad game, you have to do other things. Crash the boards hard. Play tough defense. Help your teammates get better shots. You just have to put maximum effort into non-shooting activities.

Good luck my friend...a bad game is a good game..just like a good game is a good game. No one can ever be perfect, so we're gonna feel like we have a bad game every now and then. My best advice is to stay positive and try not to lose focus. And when it comes down to it, keep good sportsmanship.

When you can't hit a shot, you rebound, pass, drive to the hoop and play defense. This applies to your backyard or the NBA.

Start passing well, play good defense and take the ball to the hole. You get fouled a couple of times and hit your free throws and you can get your stroke back sometimes.

i have played in many tournaments and leegues and only once have i had a bad game, you have to stop shooting outside and just drive the ball to the basket, or just pass it to the guy that shooting is on.
