The fire burns down the forests to rejuvenate them and make the land more fertile. Do you blame the fire? Why is life so black and white in christianity and islam. God is worshipped as the creator, the preserver and the destroyer in hinduism. God cannot keep creating endlessly? Even the stars die after some time and new ones emerge rejuvenated. Why is reincarnation not more sensible than heaven hell and one life. Does this hindu philosophy not make more sense to you than an endless war between god and satan. If god created all, he created the so called satan too. Why would god create evil if the abrahamic religious theories are to be believed?

I just wanted to inform you all that Jesus was Jewish. He was celebrating Passover on his last day on earth (the "last supper") and he worshipped in Jewish temples throughout his whole life. IF you are christian and didn't know this or still think it isn't true, then you know nothing of the bible or your own religion. Thank you and have a nice day.

I heard of a believe that says that without both physical snd spiritual nothing would exist. the spirit and the material are inseperable and there are two kinds of spirit. There is the Spirit of God and the spirit against God. I think this would be defineing the spirit as energy and energy can't be seperated from matter.

Is there biblical support for that?

creationists say only god created all life and evolution does not exist. How do they explain antibiotic resistance in bacteria (ask any hospital). Is their god playing an evil joke on humans?

ok, hard to explain this question i know, and maybe it's better suited to the Philosphy section, but if anyone wants to know what a 21st century spirituality might look like i suggest you check out this link.

Yes that's right, Princeton!, and PEAR as in Princeton Engineering Anomalies Research.
These people are serious about this work, and this is a serious question about something that affects us all, so please take the time to look it up; especially the heavy thinkers out there. (For those who can't be arsed to go to the site, they are investigating statistical anomalies in random events, anomalies caused by human thought...wishful thinking if you like)

Just curious. Whats the consensus here? Will I burn in eternal torment for these words? Any entity that has any part in an eternal torment of me, let me say in advance, "you suck you pathetic prick, who cruel are you?".

Dont tell me, "its complicated" or "i know its hard to fathom, but God knows, and we dont, we willl learn in his time". Ok, now look up circular reasoning.

I am a Christian and have been informed that recent studies have shown that there is a negative correlation between how religious a person is and there level of intelligence (for my fellow theists this means the more religious you are the stupider you are). In the royal society 3% of over a thousand are religious in Americas equivalent there is 9% compared to the 40% in the general population. Could my lack of understanding of the world around me be the reason for my faith in the supernatural?

This is like a global thing, all people on earth will see the true state of their souls before the Second coming of Jesus. Many will not stand it.

like you had a previous life? Do you remember anything from it? If it was really true, we can find our old family, and talk about who we were, and they would be amazed. That hasn't happened yet, so I really don't believe it. Do you believe in it?

Instead of using an existing swear word, do everyone a favor and don't say those "bad" words. Substite 'jaft' for any swear word you want. Such as, "Hey jafthole, what the jaft you think you're doing?" and "Why do you have to be such a jaft all the time?"

Let's do our part to make the world a swear word free place.

To some degree, aren't we all full of "it". It seems no matter how much you strive to be honest with yourself and others, at some point we all fall prey to this, regardless of religious background. Or is it just me that is full of "it"?

Most of the prophets didn't see God, some even requested to see but were not granted because they would not be able to comprehend the Vision.

So if prophets cannot see the God, why do you think St.Paul could see Him? Do you think he was cheated by Satan, and saw Satan instead?

He claimed to see God on his trip to Damascus, and after that he wrote many dubious and contradictory verses in Bible.

My husband and I are Christians and before we excepted Christ and became born again, we use to go to clubs and hang out with our friends (drink, smoke weed, party). Now we don't do that anymore and we're getting tired of the dinner and a movie scene. As a christian what things do you do in your spare time for fun.(Serious answers please).

Would say that having faith in something spiritual is the same has having a belief ....I think that Faith, belief and religious convictions are 3 different things ... you might have faith in something , and doesn't have any religious convictions at all ...you might have a belief and not have faith in it , you might have belief , but not faith, in the same way that you might have a faith but not faith in it ...
what do you think ?
