I understand the motivational undertones by verbalizing the phase, but so many people attach it to their email signature rendering it hollow. I now despise this saying.

Heres a way to see if God is real. Take 100 christians that say they have seen Jesus or have spoken with Him, and put them through a lie detector test. If they are telling the truth, I will continue on with my Christian faith. If they are liars, goodbye. what do you think? there is a chance for error, as some may be so adamant in their own lies, they start to believe it as the truth(i forget what the psychiatric term for that is).

I'm the kind of person that likes to get to know everyone. Learn about their cultures, what they are like.

But, I was told from some people that I am trying to be everyone's friend to feed my need for constant approval.

I'm not searching for approval or acceptance.

What do I say to make people understand that?

I know everyone and their uncle would like to blame poverty on everything but the poor people themselves. I have tried very hard to find someone who is poor and makes good choices.

I brought this point up to some of my friends who are huge proponents of "social justice" rather than "personal responsibility".

Their theory is that the environment poor people grow up in somehow takes away their ability to make good choices and there is no way they can suceed.

I simply cannot believe that in the world we live in today.
I think we are blaming everyone and everything else but ourselves.

So I made a list of every person I know who I could consider poor. Everyone of them has multiple pets, smokes, has a nicer cell phone than me, rents instead of owning, spends a lot of money on alcohol, and has the best televison service possible.

They are poor because they waste the money they have instead of saving and trying to earn more. What do you think?

It is VERY easy to simply say that Silva should simply give up the crown as Miss California. However, you would not do so if you were her. She stated that she got mixed messages when she was told that there had been a mix up and miscalculations. Maybe, there should be two Miss Californias because it is all about scholarship monies. What is your take on this fiasco? By the way, do not refer to race , for this is far from a racial issue.

I know this may sound a little harsh but if this is done, then maybe they won't fritter away their wages and will pay their rent, on time and in full, especially if they see others being punished. I do have sympathy with some of these types as it must be very hard knowing that when they leave work at the end of the day they haven't a home to go to. but they really have nobody else to blame but themselves. I think a short, sharp, shock would be considered tough love.

last year at our ladies children's hospital they put up a mainjor (excuse the crappy spelling )but it had baby jesus mary etc they put it up every year but this year it was not put up for the children because they didn't want to offend the non christians

IF they were real, there would literally be no more poverty in the world, they could raise the money etct.
They could prove their authentication through simple premonitions etc.

It makes me angry, a REAL psychic would be so gifted, they would WANT to help people NOT charge them money- as much as possible.

Who agrees with me? What are your thoughts? Can you beleive people are so desperate for answers and unable to look within themselves that they give money to these con artists to tell them some 'tall tales'??

I am so done with this damn site. ppl come here looking for help and get insulted belittled and treated as a second class citizen, for having the nerve to bother you in your oh so important journey into your wonderful meaning to life. if you are here to give advice DON"T HURT, HELP!!! how on earth is making fun of ppl, belittling them, making them feel like a bad parent. a horrible animal owner or a menise to society for having the nerve to ask someone a question. I have been to many countries and American's reputation is often their stupidity.

-We kill each other at triple the rate anyone else does.
-We have huge Army but low health and school systems.
-We worship celebrities as Gods.
-We know more about death than we do about life.
-We catch our Government and President lying to us on numerous occasion yet they are still empowered.

I can go on and on. I believe in the future we will certainly fall into civil war if the right thing happens. I.E Rodney King
