When something is meaningful to a person, they often like to share it. Especially when it is a saying that you would normally say to someone else.
While you might be tired of reading it, you would do better to embrace it and make every day great for yourself.
Take care,
Troy

It's too bad you despise the expression. They are just trying to stay positive and they feel good about it but again perhaps they haven't even thought about it lately - just as we will say good morning when we greet someone or how are you today (and don't really hear your response). If you feel that badly about it, why not just tell them how it affects you and maybe if you ask they will remove their email signature when they communicate with you. I had to resort to telling a friend that while I appreciate their emails I really object to them attaching other people's email sent to them that they think are informative, sad or sometimes funny. Often I didn't even know who these people were.

The reason I dislike the expression is it's an instruction, not a sentiment. Yes, I do have a choice about whether or not I respond to my day in a positive manner, but I would rather someone wish me well, than instruct me how to respond to the opportunities that present themselves.

Always when I post a question, even if it's the easiest one, nobody can offer me a good informed answer . What happened to people who actually take the time to answer..

It's there attempt to brighten your day, even though they may not be having a great day themselves. It is always on their email signature and they feel that it touches more people.

Its all in your attitude towards things- " Have an optimistic outlook today" is basically what it means! Have an outstanding and wonderfully unique life! Change the world!
