Personally it wouldn't bother me that much I don't think, Your kids are your kids, a daughters friend was so upset the other night because they told their parents they were gay & within 30 minutes they were dissowned & homeless. It must be so hard when you lose the support of your family, hopefully they will accept the fact that their child is gay & 'wont grow out of it' the only rule I insist on is no necking in my company but then I apply that rule to everybody, gays or straights it makes me feel uncomfortable, hold hands, cuddle not a problem but if you want to play tonsil tennis or 'lipsin' then take it out of my company please. My sons girl sat on his lap & started gyrating & all sorts, he jumped up so quick she was on the floor rubbing her butt before she knew it. He told her it was so disrespectfull in front of parents & that if she did it again they were finished!! he is really old fashioned like that, bless lol. Thanks

We in India keep bragging of our greatness, our past heritage, our culture, our ancient knowledge, etc. You will find that India only romanticizes the past. I was looking around my house trying to identify any single thing that we use in our daily life that was invented by an Indian: NOTHING! No safety pin, no clothes, no processed food, no furniture, no glass, no gas, no fridge, no electricity, no fan, no light bulb, no TV, no footwear, no toilet, no plumbing, no plastic, no anti-biotics, NOTHING FOR GOD'S SAKE! I am an Indian and NOT very proud to admit that we have not contributed much to the modern world. Even now it is not too late ... we should STOP being proud of COPYCAT achievements of our software 'greats' and business tycoons such as Narayanmurthy, Aziz Premji, Vijay Mallya, Ambanis, etc. These people have only created wealth out of second-hand ideas. THE NEXT GEN INDIANS SHOULD FOCUS ON "RESEARCH & DEVELOPMENT" AND BECOME INVENTORS - NOT BOASTFUL COPYCATS!

I ask why b/c I've known her for so long...and it's not like she isn't use to different complexions

this is while we were walking to summer school--it was a very sunny and humid--

friend: " we should switch spots I'm the one who needs to get darker"

-I wasn't offended by this and we switched spots-
-but then I thought why would she want to be in the sun she's always obsessing about her complexion-

Me: "Why?"
Friend: Well you don't want to get any darker, do you?
Me: (laughs) that's mean you know
Friend: well you dont...

-I waited a while to see if she realized what she was saying...and when she didn't...I stopped laughing... what a stupid thing to say... we've been friends since grade 3... it didn't bother me so much untill the next day...when I thought about it again-

the fact that she was serious about it...is what offended me... how are you going to say that to someone who has probably been made fun of...for having a dark complexion
what a stupid thing to say

So about 60% of the time that I go in or out of a store that has those anti-theft columns at the door they go off... It's really weird. I used to think it was my cell-phone - but now it's just freaking me out.

Any ideas on what the deal is?

...And no, I'm not stealing anything from the store - the alarm goes off when I go in OR out.

The growing imminence of natural disaster or terrorism accentuates evacuation as a possibility for 400 million Americans, Australians and British. A ready-size bag containing things like: dry-food bars, water, face-masks, radio, batteries, matches, torch, sunglasses, sunscreen etc. could be prepared and kept in an easy to retrieve place in case you need to leave your home quickly.

Why do a lot of women think that men want these stick figures like Paris Hilton? Statistics show that 80% of men in the United States prefer curves, so why do women listen to the TV, the fashion magazines, the movies, written by and controlled by Gay men and straight women? It seems no matter how hard you try you can not convince them otherwise. Curvy Black and Curvy Hispanic women are so proud of their figure because they know Black and Hispanic men appreciate it. I don’t know what white guys like but, maybe you curvy white women could be more open to interracial relationships (statistically 5% are in the us) because, you tell me a Hispanic or Black man doesn't like curves and I'll tell you someone is full of s***

Most people can relate: you see somone and you greet them saying, "hey how are you?", and they say "I'm good", or vise versa and you are the one saying "I'm good". But what happens when you are doing bad... you still say "I'm good".

How did this become so standard, and do you think its annoying, funny, a "who cares" kind of thing, or etc..?

So Mondays keep repeating. Does it mean Days have a cycle of repetition? LIke ...each year there is seasons...so it makes sense to have months that happen each year. But days that happen each week....what is the connection?

Is there anything this Monday that is the same in next week's monday?

Or was the idea of "Week" just an invention sculpted in order to make work organized?

I'm not a fan of the man, and I could vent for hours about his evilness and why he's going to hell, but there has to be some good things he's done for society? I know he signed some bill that sent a lotta money to Africa for vaccines....thats the only thing I can think of that he's done good.....what else?

I can understand the fact that one feels cheated and abused, and if it's my sibling, I'd kook the duce in the head. Certainly, most of us who have never been victimized that way don't really understand.

But does it badly traumatizes the person as displayed by some who have? How does it stack up to other traumas in life, such as loss of a loved one, or accidents, divorces, misfortunes, etc?
