no matter your age if you compare yourself to your friends there is peer pressure. it may be self inflicted for adults but alot of them out there have low self-esteem.

just don't compare yourself to others and be happy and content with who you are...it does come with maturity but everyone grows up in different stages.

Yeah, adults feel peer pressure. Many are worse than kids when it comes to that. It's a problem for all ages.

It is because some adults only care what other adults unrelated to them think and in actuality, none of them give much of a darn what's going on as long as everyone is minding their own business. It's called paranoia peer pressure

Peer pressure is not just for kids :O) Adults try to keep up with siblings, the neighbors, co-workers, etc. just as much or more than teens. I suppose that contributes to the debt rate in the US.

yes. a common aspect is called, "keeping up with the Joneses."

not wanting to rock the boat in local politics can be another example. worrying about what the neighbors/the boss think(s) about x,y,or z... there are lots of avenues.

Yes. I will explain.

My wife came back with a dinner with her brothers and was angry at me. Absolutely livid.

it seems that i have been wroking at my job for 20 years and earn $48K/yr.

Her nephew is working for a company ONE year and makes $57K/yr.

She looked at me and sighed.

Peer pressure? Believe it!
