I need to write an essay and I am looking for some ideas for my introduction. I have writtenall my other paragraphs except my intro and conclusion and I am terrible at the intro.

My essay topics..
paragraph 1- Introduction
paragraph 2-Poverty (Background/History)
paragraph 3-Poverty (Why is it an issue today?)
paragraph 4- My solution on ending poverty
paragraph 5- Conclusion

The Intro only needs to be 4-5 sentences plz help

I hate the expression "They shove it in our face." Why should it be o.k. for heteros to make out, but for gays not to hold hands. I am by no means saying all heterosexuals think this way, but YOU KNOW many do. If it is the "ick" factor," then why the hypocrisy with two men=yuck while two women = yum?

I recently read a bumper sticker that said "You can't be catholic and prochoice" but it looked like who ever it was put some thing over the sticker to make it say can't. So that got me wondering if anyone was catholic and prochoice.

Everyone's obsessed with fashion, plastic surgery, looking like what's-her-chops of the telly, fighting wrinkles, unwanted grey, hair-loss, fat . . .
Are we at risk of stripping ourselves of our humanity?
We definitely judge by appearances. Is judging someone as "ugly" not just another form of fascism?
Is anyone still capable of seeing beauty in nature's "flaws"?
Humanity has always suffered from such narcissism, but today's obsession with it really takes the cake, doesn't it?

mine was probably falling asleep in chem class and upon my awake eveyrone was staring at me because i had dribbled all-over my textbook and i had been breathing really heavily(darth-vader stylee!)

For violent criminals and child molesters? And i'm not talking about sitting on death row for fifteen years. I'm talking a swift reprisal? Why/why not. And can we refrain from religous stuff because we all know we break God's laws all the time. Why not break them for the good of humanity?

Am I alone here? Am I over-reacting here? No peace in the pub, f*****g idiots worshiping the stars like Gods, caring about every s**te detail of their personal life, future of the club and all the other B S that goes with it. If I owned a pub there would hang a great sign in the window 'No football Idiots'.

Get a life. Take up a hobby you actually practice, rather than pay lip service to.

I think the smell in NYC that everyone is complaining about was just a wave of fresh air. The people in that city are just so used to living in their own filth that they get repulsed at the idea of clean air.

It would be like San Francisco seeing a blue sky one morning, instead of the yellow smog. There would be news reports that the sky over San Francisco "turned a strange color"

Mine is, when at work and travelling from the office to the toilets, I use the long straight corridors as 'catwalk' practice and pretend I'm on Americas Next Top Model!!
(Shameful, yes).
