What are you on about?

What about good old English food like Pizza or Curry?

I'm just off to the chippy for me and the missus, it's ages since we've had fish and chips but we thought hey, why not? As i'm from the north of England I'll have a little gravy with mine. She's Scottish so no gravy for her. Most of your list is good british grub and, prepared and cooked properly would give any cuisine a run for it's money. I agree that tripe is revolting though.
English food is sometimes great. The worst food i ever had was in Lake Tahoe, california/nevada. In 2 weeks i did not have a decent meal at all. it was quantity over quality every time.

I think it depends on how well the food is cooked.
It seems that you have just thought up a list of supposed traditional English foods (did you copy a pub menu?)...many of the foods are eaten in other countries too.
Meat Pie/Potatoe cakes/Gammon and Egg are cooked almost everywhere in the western world.
Tripe isn't eaten very much now (it was 60/70 years back).
Rich tea biccies/Digestives are not only sold in the UK.
Ambrosia (do you mean rice pudding?) again cooked in places such as Turkey, Africa, India, China...almost everywhere that they can get rice.
Ploughmans lunch...hmmmm bread and cheese with relish? yes that is soooooooooooo English (not) again served in many countries.
English tea? well it beats the pisssssss you get elsewhere :o)
I live in Spain and I know heaps of people who post away for it rather than consume the local tea.

I could go on but I think your point is rubbish.
ANY countries food is bad if cooked badly...I suggest you eat in better places or find someone who can actually cook English food properly.
English cuisine is nice (homely), it's just not very exciting, but I think it is because we did not grow many spices or exotic things centuries ago. Now the UK incorporates many other cultures foods into it...so you are not forced to eat in divey pubs or eat tripe are you?

You have absolutely no idea about what is good and tasty and healthy for you. I was brought up on this list of delicacies and as I grow older I love them more and more.I am 5ft 5inches tall with a lovely round physique , I have only had 1 heart attack and a triple heart bypass operation and have only had diabetes for 5 years. I have never run a marathon and I am the perfect specimen of a darts player. I bet you are tall and slim and can touch your toes with ease. Really though, you don't wanna be like that do you. Get a life!

Hey man! If the average Brit were to cut all this stuff from his diet, that would leave just a cup of cold water and lettuce to exist on!! Mind you, I find winkles pretty revolting, so there you go.

What's your country then? I bet your cuisine has some animal innards. And don't insult tea, not proper tea anyway. They don't know how to make it anywhere but here. Eccles cakes are my very favourite. You left off proper cakes, and puddings, like coffee & walnut cake and Sussex Pond pudding (with a lemon inside). You won't find anything to beat them elsewhere. What about our fabulous brandy-laced rich Christmas cake? With a cup of tea. Delish.

Have you tried Spanish food? Or what about French horsemeat? Or even Korean dog? Some of the food on your list is OK. Are you suffering from Bulemia or Anorexia?

I think all of these are great - your not vegetarian by any chance? The worst food in the world is Tapas - what is the point of it? It costs a fortune and doesn't fill you up unless you have paella, which is mainly rice.
