Why do Christians feel the need to control non-Christians?

Why do Americans feel the need to control other nations?

Why does anyone suppose that it is their duty --- or worse, their right --- to control the life of another human being?

I'm sick of the control mongers in this world. Leave me alone and I'll leave you alone. Try to control me and I'll come at you with guns blazing. That's how I see it. Anyone agree? If not, you better have an intelligible answer. Answers like "Because," or, "it's in the Bible" have no credence with me.

I'm looking for a commonly known Italian word (place, thing, word, etc.) that expresses feelings like the upmost current style, moderness, chicness, class, luxury. Any thoughts?

Sort of like how 'Soho' comes from a london district (if you were thinking of a place). But an item, or phrase would be good too.

Thanks!

This has been intriguing me.I'm not a muppet who believes fictional characters are real, so don't be thinking I'm some sort of delusional. Having said that, Hannibal Lecter is a really attractive character, in my opinion, save all the brain/liver/bean eating.

He's multilingual, articulate, cultured and dangerous. Hello...sexy!

>:D

Who are your most attractive fictional characters, either from literature or film? We're not talking hot actors here, rather the character him/herself. I'd be interested to know. I'm expecting a lot of Mr.s Darcy and Rochester, but go on, surprise me.

xx

Looking at the amount of bad people in the world I serious doubt it!

...the "outer limits" are, (other than the bad, gray goo idea of rampant assemblers). It seems limitless if machines can organize and arrange molecules. It seems possible, in a realistic future, where nanites, in the same number as human cells in a person, say, could keep reconstructing the cells and extend life quite a bit. What do you think?

For those that don't know - A misnomer is a name considered incorrect for various reasons, or a misleading name. Was my last question to complicated for you? Or do you just hate me cause I'm Mexican!

How many people die due to nationalism?
If we had One Nation of Earth (O.N.E.)
would there be so much killing?

For example, before India was divided into Pakistan and India, what was the chance of Karachi going to war with Delhi? Impossible.

Now that they have divided nationally, they have already had a number of wars and are always on the brink of war over Kasmir.

500 years ago a war between Calcutta and Delhi was a conceivable reality, wheras today, after India's integration, it is a virtual impossibility.

In this way, if the world unites as One Nation of Earth (ONE) then where is the possibility of war?

Nationalism breeds competition, conflict, war and destruction. Therefore it is a disease. What are your views?

I have been pondering what happens to your soul after death and would love to know other thoughts. What do you think happens to your non-physical being? Also, I was curious of what you want for your body after death? Would you want an open casket funeral, burial, cremation, etc.? Any and all responses are appreciated.
