as you open the door, you are confronted by a child, around 4-6 years old, with their hair in a mess, tears running down their face, wearing ripped clothes, bruises and marks on their face, arms, looking dishevelled, worried and having slightly distressed look on their face. in other words, resembling an orphan from the third world. what would you do in a situation like this? would you call social services and the police, invite the child in your home and take care of him/her until he/she is well or get someone else to look after them?

by the way, i want serious answers only please

I was talking to someone and we need some help here. Do you think the younger generation is more likely to be bought out compared to an older generation, like over 30? Say if you were in a position of authority and were offered a bunch of money to do something that is probably not the best route, would a younger person give in and take the money before the older one?

Isn't it a bit contradicting?
I don't wear fur, but I eat meat.
Is it because it is the norm? People wearing fur are made out to be cruel. But we all (except vegetarians) eat meat. Meat supplies us of several nutrients. We need to eat meat.
Still, I find this contradicting.
I know the way they kill the annimals for their fur is disturbing, I have added a link, but it is not for the sensitive!!

What is your opinion? Sorry for asking this question, but I have been thinking about this several times and would like to know what your opinion is on this.

Last night on TV was footage from a village bullfight, where a blindfolded donkey was used as 'bait' in the bullring. Men were goading the bull to attack it. It had to just stand there and take it, because it couldn't see. It made me want to be sick, but the crowd were laughing.

I've heard of many instances of animal cruelty at village fiestas, and in everyday life. They seem to take pleasure from suffering, whereas the rest of us would just feel revulsion.

Do they not think this is cruel? Why not use something inanimate as a target?

A friend of mine told me that Catholics believe that animals don't have souls, and it's something to do with this. Is she right?
