No, it makes the speaker sound ignorant. There are so many words in the dictionary, to curse makes one sound illiterate. The need to curse makes one look as though they do not have an education or any manners. God bless*

F*ck yeah! haha ok I wouldnt say it makes you cool but I think saying shut the f*ck up gets your point across stronger than just saying shut up. People generally know you are really mad or serious if you curse. Unless you are like me who just cannot seem to curb the use of "colorful" words.

no, swear words do not add weight to your conversation. swear words actually make it appear that your vocabulary is limited. you should be able to "add weight" or convey your statement with the tone of your voice and the clean words you use.

My pet peeve about swear words is when people use them every other word -- especially the "F" word -- drives me nuts. =/
